In this Algebra time and distance problem we have Bill leaving in a vehicle which proportionally increases or decreases its speed depending on how fast the wind is traveling. If the wind is 15 mi/hr coming and going the same distance and it takes him 4 hours going with wind behind him and 5 hours coming back with the wind coming head on, how fast was he coming and going?

Cricket Formula
This is a fun algebra novelty that will allow you to figure out the temperature on a hot summer day based on the number of times a cricket chirps. This "cricket formula" will provide you with the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit.
Cricket Formula
T = C4 + 37
where,
T = outdoor temperature
C4 = number of times a cricket chirps in 15 seconds(1/4 of a minute)
C = Chirps
4 = 1/4 minute
So, if a cricket chirped is 60 times in 15 seconds then:
T = 60 + 37 or 97 degrees Fahrenheit
